London, United Kingdom JJ Shim is an award winning animator and senior motion graphics designer in London.
He has 10 years of experience in Seoul as a motion graphics designer, director and successfully set up and ran Studio Butterfly. For the past 5 years he has been working as a motion graphics designer in London for clients including Disney, Dreamworks, Samsung and Google. His recent work includes teaser trailers across a variety of platforms for Disney’s Frozen the live musical; the campaign for the opening of The Prince of Egypt in the West End and the adverts for Michael Bublé’s Love album. He has a Masters in Animation from the Royal College of Art and his graduation film "COBALT" was selected by several international film festivals including London International Animation Festival 2017and won several awards. His work has won awards at various film festivals and design competitions such as iF (International Forum) Design Award, Red Dot design award, Design week award, Festival Mauvais Genre Tours, and Indie Anifest. He also has full professional proficiency in After Effect, Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, Premiere, and a variety of 3D programmes such as Maya and Zbrush. He keeps up to date with new plugins and software to create dynamic content. He has taught seminars at a range of universities and private institutions in Korea and the UK. |
